Meet the Clinical Team!

Jessica VanhannegeynLPC
Hi, I’m Jessica! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, as well as my Master of Education and Education Specialist degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Clemson University.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and my professional experience includes providing therapy in both school-based and outpatient settings, where I’ve worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I have training in components of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and crisis counseling. I utilize techniques from Adlerian Therapy, Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-centered. While evidence-based practices are at the foundation of my work, I enjoy using creative interventions, interactive activities, visual tools, storytelling, and expressive techniques to help clients engage in therapy in ways that feel meaningful and approachable. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, I believe that creativity can open doors to insight, healing, and personal growth that traditional conversation alone may not always reach. I also take a holistic approach to counseling, recognizing the important connection between mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to help clients not only manage life’s challenges but also build resilience, strengthen self-awareness, and create lasting wellness in all areas of their lives.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll quickly learn a few things about me: I absolutely love the color pink, I can never have too many books to read, and butterflies have always been one of my favorite symbols of growth and transformation. A fun fact about me is that I know American Sign Language (ASL) and have even taught myself British Sign Language (BSL)!
