Oceanic Counseling Group is a large mental health practice with dozens of therapists and a team of administrative professionals. Our headquarters is based in Surfside Beach, SC and we have clinical offices in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, Carolina Forest, Columbia, and Greenville!

Do I need to be referred by a doctor?
No, you can complete the form below and we’ll call you to get on the schedule. Or you can also call (864) 973-7700 and schedule with our Patient Coordinator.
How much does it cost?
Our self-pay rate is $90 per session (after prompt pay discount). If you have insurance and need to verify your coverage or copay, please call 843-894-0000.
Do you offer telehealth / virtual counseling?
YES! We offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth services. This solution works great if you are out of town during your weekly session time or running late and can’t make your appointment!
Can I ONLY choose virtual appointments / telehealth?
Yes. Your insurance provider may have certain requirements, so please inform our Patient Coordinator when scheduling your first appointment. We have a team of therapists who are 100% telehealth providers and committed to virtual care. Please visit our telehealth division’s website: www.SimpleCounselor.com
What happens after I schedule my appointment?
After calling (864) 973-7700 and scheduling a new appointment, you will receive a message from us to complete your initial registration and e-sign documents. Please complete these at least 24 hours prior to your first appointment.
What do I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your drivers license / I.D. and a copy of your insurance card to your first appointment.
How early should I arrive to my appointment?
We ask that you arrive 10 minutes early to your appointment to ensure we have ample time to collect your copay or update your insurance information.
What if I don’t connect with my therapist?
Don’t worry! If you feel you didn’t connect with your therapist, simply call our office and let our Patient Coordinator know you would like to switch therapists. Since we are a group practice, we make this a simple and easy transition!
